Notice & Takedown
For rights-holders and authorized representatives
If you believe a specific Cinemus page references your work beyond what is reasonable for commentary, identification, or criticism, write to takedown@cinemus.app. We will respond promptly.
What to include in your notice
- A description of the work whose rights are concerned (title, year, your role).
- The exact URL(s) on Cinemus you are asking us to review.
- A clear explanation of the issue — what specific content you object to and why.
- Your contact information (name, organization, email).
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights-holder.
What happens next
- We acknowledge your notice within 5 business days.
- We review the page in good faith. If a valid issue exists, we remove or amend the page within 10 business days of acknowledgment.
- If we believe the use is reasonable (e.g., short commentary on a public work), we will reply with a brief reasoning and invite further dialogue.
- Cinemus does not host film or television files. We link to TMDB-hosted posters and describe scenes textually. Notices about hosted media should be directed to the host of that media.
Counter-notices
When the contribution system opens, authors of removed annotations may submit a counter-notice. The procedure will be documented here at that time.
