Terms of Service

Cinemus is a non-commercial project that indexes references between films and television works contributed by the community. In this validation phase, the site is available read-only — registration and contributions are not yet open.

You may browse, search, and link to Cinemus pages. You may not attempt to scrape the site at scale, abuse rate-limited endpoints, circumvent access controls, or use automated agents that degrade service for other readers. Suspected abuse may be blocked at the network layer.

• Film and series metadata and posters are provided by The Movie Database (TMDB). Cinemus is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
• Reference annotations and screenshots may be contributed by the community in future phases. In the current phase, all annotations were authored by the project team and are provided for editorial and educational discussion.
• References to third-party works are made for the purpose of identification, commentary, and criticism. Cinemus claims no ownership of the underlying films, series, or other works being referenced.

If you are the rights-holder of a work referenced on Cinemus and believe a specific page exceeds fair use, please follow the procedure at /legal/takedown. We act on valid notices in good faith and without delay.

The service is provided «as is» without warranty of any kind. The maintainers are not liable for damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service. Annotations represent the editorial views of their authors and may contain errors.

We may revise these terms as the project moves out of validation phase. Material changes will be reflected by updating the «last reviewed» date above.

These terms are intended to be interpreted in a non-commercial context. Any jurisdiction-specific obligations apply in addition to, not in place of, these terms.
